I downloaded LimeWire 4.9.23 from the official site and it was working fine.
The next time I logged onto my computer (I have a PC with windows xp) I think I selected block limewire or something...and so now each time I try to get into LW, I get the message "LimeWire was unable to intitialise and start..." etc. I have changed my firewall settings according to the directions at http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml but am still getting the message. I also deleted LW and reinstalled it, but it still doesn't work. I know there has been several postings on this topic and I have tried my best to follow the suggestions, but doesn't seem to work. Can anyone help??? Would be much apreciated!!! |

start > control panel > windows firewall > exceptions > now, you can either remove LimeWire from the list, or enable it by ticking the box. if you remove it from the list, you will be asked again by windows if you would like to keep blocking the program. unblock it.
