If LimeWire fails to install

sothis is probley a dumb question but can i download offline?Yes i used that 1 and it was downloading so slow

It's called Offline because you install offline, not over the internet. If the file is downloading very slowly, then imagine how slow it would be trying to instal it whilst it is downloading. Such slow speeds often result in faulty program installations which is why we recommend the "Offline" installer. With the offline installer you don't need to be connected to the internet at the time you actually install it. Only whilst you are downloading the installer.

now i uninstalled Java but When i do a search I still have a whole bunch Should i delete those?

Check your Add/Remove control panel & only uninstall thru that. You may see a listing like Java or j2se or jre. Don't manually delete program files as they may belong to another program. If you're unsure, get this utility Crap Cleaner as it will remove any files that belong to programs that are no longer needed such as previous versions no longer used.

I have been using it for months and had very few problems. I was away from the pc for week and when tried to use it started this issue of not opening. I have removed the program and downloaded it again. I have updated Java. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Tony

kyblue & renee8you, Go Back and totally delete ALL of L/Wire from Add & Remove Programs as well as> Start > All programs> L/Wire Delete. as well as "Quicktime" then download L/Wire again from the link in this forum, I found that L/Wire will not "Load & Work" if the "Quicktime" Icon is not in the taskbar, or on the Desktop as a Shortcut, Etc or turned off!!!!! give it a try good luck Dasha

Tried everything. Removed Java and re-installed. Remove Limewire and re-installed. Nothing. Still get the same error.

HELP!

i have also tried everything and have given up with limewire!It sucks because the only one that i can get Is bearshare and they suck!
