Follow LOTR's advice here
http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...s+installation

There's also a Java beta (JRE) that you can get here
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/download.jsp

I am assuming you are using Internet Explorer 6. With your browser open go to Tools/Internet Options then click on advanced. At the bottom of the pop-up screen it will say Reset to default click on it and reset your browser.

Hopefully this will solve your problem.

Yo, that install doesn't work for me. Can someone just put the files needed to use, NOT install, Limewire, in a compressed folder, and send it to me?

Arite, I Install Limewire... and everything.. and i click to open it. I get this message ---> Your Save Folder is not valid. It may
have been deleted, you may not have
permissions to write to it, or there may
be another problem. Please choose a
different folder.

Maybe i'm missing something really really dumb but... sorry this is killing me.

I have installed this program at office and all was perfect.
But at house it seems it doesn't really want to work!!
WHY??
i have tried the recommended download..
then the other..
then beta version..
I have tried to install it in a different partition but nothing changed!!!

THE PROBLEM:
after download
after installing
when I want it to open..
..it doesn't open!!
there is a window asking "option language" but the content is all grey!!
there's nothing in it
it is frozen.
I just can close it

I have tried it all.. what else can I do??

Default install is corrupt

I recently reloaded Windows XP and a am trying to set my computer back up like it was before. When I try to install Limewire, the top row of green bars stop on "Downloading unpacked Jars.7z" and the bottom row finishes and give me an error message that says "This install is corrupt, please reinstall limewire and try again. I uploaded the most recent version of Java and still no luck. Is there something in the settings on my computer that is preventing it? I had no problems the first time I installed it. Thanks for any help.

Try reinstalling Java using the manual (offline) installer. Install Java first
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Now install LW using it's offline installer
