trying too update
 
im trying too update from 4.8 to 4.9 but when i put my email address in its sayiny that its the wrong address but i know its not can any 1 from admin help me with this please

Pro updates last for 6 months. After that, your email will be removed from their database. If not, then check your original email you received from customer support. It will have a link to your personal downld page. Next time bookmark your personal downld page. Also be sure you actually got LW Pro from the official site. I too am trying to upgrade but the Limewire site won't recognize my e-mail address. I checked my credit card receipts and I signed up for LimeWire Pro (via the Limewire web site) on June 18, 2005. I am still in the 6-month period.

The problem is, I cannot send an e-mail about my problem to Limewire saying that the site won't recognize my e-mail address until I sign in using my e-mail address. A catch-22 indeed.

I still have the Limewire installer but it's for the version I have, not the upgrade.

I have searched my saved e-mails for a receipt from Limewire but cannot find one (which is odd as I usually save everything).

It's also odd that there is not an "upgrade now" button in a pull down menu in the program. It seems that the program shoudl know if you're still elegible for upgrades or not.

So you paid US $18.88 for your LW? Check your credit co. receipt carefully, was it really from Limewire. Open up LW, go to the LW menu bar & have a look under the Help menu >About Limewire, does this say LW Pro?

just fellow the upgrade links when it comes up with the page where u pay just put your email address in and bingo u can update too 4.9

Yes, I paid Limewire for that exact amount. I've been using (and paying for) Limewire for quite a long time now so I know it was the real thing. I have not had problems before with Limewire so I am surprised that my e-mail address does not work. I am beginning to wonder if somehow I mistyped my address (I cannot remember if you have to download from the e-mail or you go directly to the download link. I was (and am still) able to download and install the last version, and yes, it's Limewire Pro, but I cannot get access to the Limewire Pro download or tech help because it won't recogmize my password. Any thoughts on how to get this info to Limewire (without having to enter my e-mail address)?

If you noticed I said the Limewire site does not recognize my e-mail address therefore I cannot just enter my e-mail address and follow the links.

I did read your post. Did you get the issue resolved? It sounds like you followed the links from the e-mail sent (however, I cannot find the e-mail sent to me).

Unfortunalty it just takes you to the same purchase page that anyone gets sent to to buy the program. I have already purchased it. I thought there'd be a form requesting the info be resent to me. I am not sure why this link is even here except as a cruel joke......okay, now I', getting whiney...

Do you mean this page HERE? Remember that pro updates only last for 6 months, so if it's longer than 6 mths since you purchased pro your email address will have been removed from the database.
