Default When I click to open, it does nothing.

SO first when I try to install limewire, it says that the path name is an invalid exe, so I had to download it from the offline link. Now, when I double click on LimeWire, it wont open. Ive restarted my computer, and still nothing. Whats going on??????

You will need to install Java and LimeWire manually First go to the first link. You can find Links to java in there Download Java to your hard drive by putting a mark in the save to disc box. Save it to my documents or wherever you save downloads from the internet. Do the same with LimeWire the second link will take you there.

Now with that done click on start then control panel add/remove programs and see if Java is listed on the list if it is uninstall it. Do the same with LimeWire if the un installers were not loaded you may have to manually delete the files. But in most cases this is not necessary.

Now click on the Java installer you saved to your hard drive and follow the instructions after you have completed that do the same with LimeWire.

Please post back and let us know if it worked. If it did not I will give further instructions on manually deleting Java and LimeWire.

You can try using the instructions below but I do not know if it will help or not.

First uninstall Java and LimeWire if you can then follow the instructions below.

You will need to go to Start/Run type regedit into the box this will open the registry editor

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER go to software expand it look for Java Script if you find it delete it. Now collapse it.

Now go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE go to software expand it look for Java, LimeWire & Magnet delete them if you find them.Collapse it

Now go to HKEY_USERS go to S-1-5-21 the first one then go to software expand it look for java if you find it delete it. Collapse it. Close registry editor now go back to the original instructions and manually install Java then LimeWire.

Be careful when you are in the registry do not delete anything other than I listed above you can mess up your machine if you accidentally uninstall something or change your registry settings.

If you can not get them to uninstall you will have to manually delete them then edit the registry. But before you go there try reinstalling them manually first. Use the instructions I provided earlier for manually installing. If that doesn't work go to C:/Program files/Limewire delete the file./Java delete the file then follow the instructions provided earlier on editing the registry.
