Default I keep having to re-install everytime I get on limewire

I didn't see any subjects close to my problem, so I'm sorry if this has already been talked about. I downloaded and installed limewire, but everytime I get on limewire I have to go through the whole downloading process like I never installed it. Is there something I can do so I can just click on limewire and get to my music without all the re-installing/re-downloading stuff?

I'm no windows expert, but is it possible you could actually be running Limewire from the installer, without having actually properly installed it. I know this is possible on mac ... why? ... I've done it more than once

Do you run PestPetrol or similar spyware program. Some spywaer programs do not work properly, & may think LW has spyware so attack it & remove vital organs so it doesn't work anymore.

Yuk!

May I ask which spywares or adwares you use?

Recommended are these 1. ad-ware (FREE), & also this one 2. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE)

Perhaps I"m on the wrong track but by your topic heading, it sounds like the issue. Normally, set up your firewall & router/modem before installing LW; tips here Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link)

i have had the same prob. every day limewire uninstalled & i had to download it all over again. after pulling out the last of my hair i tracked the reason down. i was running aol spyware' it was blocking limewire as spyware. i stopped using aol spyware & everything is fine since. this may not be the sam prob as you are getting but thought i wud post anyway.........
