ok i have been trying to fix my limewire for a week now and everything that i have done hasnt worked! i have tried everything suggested on here! the loading screen comes up then starts to load but then stops and does nothing and this makes me want to cry please help me!

Have you reinstalled your Java using the offline installer? Try that, & the other fixes in this thread

yes i did that several times and i tried delteing the pref folder, i configured my firewall, and i even did a system restore nothing worked!

Have you installed any new AV or spyware removal programs lately? Some programs see LW as a threat & so won't let it operate.

Are you sure that you installed the correct Java?

no i havent installed any new programs that i know of anyway lol and also i installed bearshare and my downloads are extremely slow maybe whatever is going on with the limewire is the same thing that is affecting that?

Try changing your port to one of these (49152 - 65535) as found by choosing Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls

Do this test both before & after you change the port: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False?

I cant even get into the limewire tho
