Windows Problems with installing LimeWire or WireShare for Windows users |

![]() I just downloaded and installed limewire and java, when I try to open it it gives me this error. Limewire was unable to initialize and start. This is usually due to a firewall program blocking limewires access to the internet or loopback connections on the local machine. I add limewire to my execpetions on windows firewall. Is there something else I'm forgetting to do. |

![]() If you already configured your software firewall, then it might be due to the NAT firewall on your modem/router. You should enable UPnP on your device, or if it doesn't support UPnP then manually port forward. See Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link) for instructions. BTW make sure you don't have 2 software firewalls active on your computer or that will cause problems & less security! ![]() |
