![]() Dear Forum, I have purchased the Limewire Pro about 1 month ago. I have installed it on my windows xp computer. The problem that I am having is that I start up the Lime Pro and then leave the house for a while in order to download the files. Then once I close out Limewire Pro I turn my computer off until the next time I use it. Once I turn the computer back on Limewire Pro will not run from simply clicking on the icon on my desktop. The error comes up that it can not find the files. I then have to delete the shortcut and then re-install the program again. I have to do this everytime I use Limewire for over a couple of hours and then turn the computer off. Do you know why this is happening and can you help???? Thanks Manny1 |

![]() Are you using a spyware program such as pestpatrol or similar? Can you give us a total description of your set up: 1. What firewalls you have? 2. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. 3. How much ram? 4. Hard Disk space available? 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) 6. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 7. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) But make a note of any important settings because once you do this you'll need to reset your options such as download location, etc. |
