![]() Limewire is choking all the resources and then the application freezes in about an hour, then you restart it and the same thing happens again in more or less time. About 2 months ago I purchased MP3Rocket Pro, sure it chewed up the resources but it still ran, but I was always having connection problems either it would never stay connected or it would never connect at all, so I was frustrated with it and purchased LimeWire Pro and this always connects but it kills the resources and freezes. My version of Java is 1.5.0_07 Memory 512 Processor 2.20GHz Windows XP Home Can anyone help |

![]() Then I reckon you uninstalling all Java from your computer and reboot. Then download the JRE offline installer of the newest version. Install it and reboot again. That will hopefully fix it. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp ![]()

![]() Still no java exe showing up... In the properties Windows NT works great as far as the resources go but my connection withers away to nothing and everything stops, and when you shut limewire down and relaunch it works great again and the same thing happens, but it dosn't chew up the resources. Limewire starts out at turbocharged then good then fair then nothing in about an hour, it stays at good or fair but the connection is lost until you restart limewire |

![]() That means the freezing has disappeared as for now !?!? That your connection drops,....hmm,....try deleting the LW preference folder (called "LimeWire" for versions 4.12. located in the hidden Application Data Folder at C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\ Application Data; and " .limewire " for versions older than 4.12. usually located at C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.<your computer name>\.limewire) Delete it ( or them, if both are present ) while LW is completely closed, i.e. also in the system tray. Afterwards you'll have to reconfigure LW starting with "Language". ![]()

![]() I've got the same problem that you've got. I tried everything they suggested by deleting the limewire preferences folder but still same problem, it's freezes up. And sometimes when it freeze up there's a popup dialog that says " encountinering internal problem." And when i tried to change the compatibility mode, it's okey no freeze and it's say "good connection" but it doesn't download to anything that i chooses to download before. And when i tried to search for a new download, it's displays the searches but when i tried to click it to download .... it will only say "connecting" .... but nothing happens even if i waited for half an hour. I don't know what to do anymore. |
