so i figured out why it didn't work! i have mcafee anitivirus security center install (not b/c i want to b/c it came with the computer), it has virus scan and firewall etc. well, i just removed the whole program and reinstall it. now, limewire works again! so if it ever suddenly just stop working, maybe you can reintall your anti-virus software and it will cure the problem!!!!

Even though you uninstalled and reinstalled the application, roughly in 60 - 90days time it will do the same thing, that is the bad thing about AV and Firewall applications which come with a recently purchased computer, I would suggest either ringing McAfee or Symantec sales team and purchase a full working version they normally latest 1 - 2 years with subscriptions, another is buying the full version either retail or via the official McAfee or Symantec website. Before doing any of these shop around and confirm all prices for the software, including subscription prices via ringing the company, please note subscription fees could go up or down, and some versions could become unsupported.
