Hi all
I'm trying to install Limewire and I'm getting an issue with the JRE installer. From a clean machine (i.e with no JRE) I've installed the latest offline installer (which puts on JRE v5 update 8) and installed Limewire. The limewire installer then tries to load the JRE version 5 update 3, it then tells me that I've it's already installed on my machine and the installer fails. Limewire then defaults saying that I need to go and get the JRE from www.java.com (which I obviously already have). So thinking that limewire is trying to install java for me, I've just tried to install limweire on a machine with no JRE and I get the same message that the JRE is installed and I am to remove it. So I can't install limewire with the JRE or without. Any ideas? Paul |
