i have a question for anyone that can help me ...if i uninstall LW and reinstall will i lose all the files i have d/l ? i have to reinstall cuz of some problems..any help would be great..

If your downloaded & shared files are NOT in your program folder then fine. Usually by default your downloads go here C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared
So it's your LW preferences which tell LW where the downloads are to go to. To double-check, go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you. Check the location. In fact you can just hover your cursor over your Saved Files in the library window & a tag window will display where they are being stored. |

yes they are in the shared folder..the next question is when i uninstall through the icon in the program files will it ask to remove ALL components and files?

Reinstalling LW will remove the previous version at the beginning of installation process. However if you only want to uninstall for the moment, then go to Start menu > Programs > LimeWire > Uninstall. Do NOT use the Control panel's add/remove or else you'll get into problems with it.
