I cant delete the Limewire File!

There was a problem and I got some viruses on the computer. I want to delete the Limewire stuff now, but it wont go to the Recycle Bin! Whats wrong? I have to get rid of it, cause my computer is getting viruses.
Please help!

From what I've read here, you should use the uninstall feature that comes with Limewire.

Sorry, my original post got screwed up. I also wanted to say, get a good antivirus program. I use McAfee, and it caught all of the viruses I downloaded when I started using LW and didn't know the tricks to downloading successfully.

If you've tried to delete LW thru add/remove programs then you might run into problems. As muhctekdano said, use the uninstall option (start > all programs > LimeWire & choose uninstall from there). If you reinstall LW, it should remove the previous version...then you can uninstall the right way. Bear in mind though, if you're infected, uninstalling LW's not going to remove the virus

What's going on? Is LW popping up all the time & refusing to stay closed (just a guess, it's a common worm)? If that's the case then please try the easy fix at the end of point 2 in the sticky below. It's worked for a lot of people.

Please make sure that you're using a decent AV program. Keep it updated & scan all downloaded files before opening.
