![]() OK, so I'm d/l-ing some large files; a "out of available memory" message keeps popping up (I had 2 files approaching 100MB). It says I can 'discard' and keep going so I left it running till one finished, then I paused, closed and rebooted. Then the screen was all white; I finally got it to run a search & that "brought back" the balank spots, but all my incomplete d/l's were lost and no longer in my d/l folder, either. So, not to cry over spilt milk, but- are those incomplete files still clogging up available memory/disg space somewhere? If so , where? |

![]() Thanks, that was REAL fast, but no, my point/question is: all incomplete d/l's have disappeared from the folder they used to reside in (and the window at bottom of LW screen). Since the lg. size of the incompletes caused the crash in the first place, I'm afraid they're still taking up space even though EVIDENCE of their existence/wherabouts have vanished.Any thoughts, anyone? ![]() |

![]() I have the same problem... after my computercrash all my incomplete files are gone. Not really gone.. I can still find them but gone in the LimeWire program. I don't know how to put them back. I can use some help... Thank you |

![]() Well, I found the folder called "Incomplete" that LW keeps same in till finished (same folder as "completed downloads"?), but have had no luck at trying to get them "back in the window" at the bottom of LW screen after losing them in the memory crash. I don't know why, but this LW program is not really good at resuming d/l's even if they AREN'T lost; for instance- if something is "awaiting/needs more sources" and you tell it to resume/ find more, it will do nothing but spin it's wheels, but if you pull up the same file in a search, cancel the incomplete and tell it to d/l the file again, then it will start and get the file like it was SUPPOSED to do the 1st time.(Maybe it just looks in the one place it knew it was before and it's really lying to us when it says 'finding more sources'?) I'm sure that "the experts" would roll their eyes and say it's something that WE are doing wrong...No big deal, just minor aggravation on smaller files, but I've got 114MB of 119MB on something & I don't wanna start over- "click OK"...but it's NOT OK!!! Ces't la vie |
