Have you tried uninstalling LimeWire and Java by going to Start/Control Panel/Programs and Features and uninstalling all versions of Java and LimeWire. Then re installing Java first using the offline installer then LimeWire using the offline installer. You can get Java at the link below use Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6. Try using the beta version of LimeWire 4.13.2 it has been working for me with no problems. You can get it at the second link.

Default yes

This is the Limewire I have tryed ,Beta version 4.13.2,LimeWire PRO 4.12.11,LimeWire 4.12.11, Java is jre-6-windows-i586 Off line installation.I have them all saved. And yes done the uninstall your way and I have tryed the Start. All Programs,Limewire,Uninstall. And the Start/Control Panel/Programs and Features and uninstalling all versions of Java and LimeWire way I have even tryed going in to regedit after i uninstalled ever thing and cleaned out all folders under software in registry to do with Java and Limewire so it would be a clean install. The thing is it worked as I've said before about two weeks into this new computer..And more idels i might try.

Had you installed any other programs or software when LimeWire suddenly stoped working.

I got it fixed for right now.Saved all my downloads on dvd and done vistas Recovery Manager .Just like i got it out of the box.Now i been puting downloads and games back on and everthings fine. But i have update manger off. Turning it back on today and see if Limewire stops working in a week or so.I'm not adding nothing else for a while to see if it stops from updating vista.
