GenericWindowsUtil.dll

I get this message when I try to install Limewire.

Errror opening file for writing: c:\programfiles\limewire\GenericWindowsUtil.dll

I tried clearing my cache, but it doesn'r help.

I'm using Vista.

Any suggestions?

Try uninstalling java from the add/remove programs. Then reinstall java 6(JRE) using the offline installer from here: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

By chance are you using Mcafee? The Mcafee Limewire Solution

I downloaded Limewire and uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it due to connnection issues. Now it wont let me install it at all, when i try to it says i have a corrupt installation and to go to the limewire site and try to download it again, when i do that the same thing happens :-(
