Exclamation Windows Server 2003 Run-Time Error

I installed LimeWire previously on my Windows Server 2003 machine on a previous code release of LimeWire. I just recently installed the new code release on a fresh Server Image on new hardware and now the installation seems to complete but upon runtime the application fails with the below error details:

Code:

Default Got It!!!

I found that if you have the current Java 6.1 release it causes this problem. If you get the previous Java 5.x releases the problem goes away. Looks like the 6.1 Java release or possibly Limewire throws an exception with MS Server 2003 and the Java 6.1 Release.

I find myself wondering.....

wondering just what in the name of The All Holy this problem has to do with Windows Server 2003???? which is the subject of this thread

?????

sigh...Peers takes a deep breath...makes a much needed thalmic pause...then decides the idiot of the month has just been determined..

try calling Dell's tech support and ask them...maybe the brand of media you are using isn't compatible with the supplied burner..dunno...not only is your placement of your post questionable, the amount of info you supplied is lacking....

Default Wtf?

Ok then...

I would suggest you re-post your question to the Main Windows Forum or Windows Vista Forum for LimeWire. That is the correct way to go about things... you need to find the forum thread that is of the most help to you. You never want to post your question to someone else's topic as you found out people don't appreciate it.

To try and answer your question however... I have never used LimeWire's burning functionality. When I burn CDs it is usually with NERO or Windows itself. If it is a new Dell PC you can call the Warranty Support team or even chat with them online. You can actually burn the CDs with Windows Vista and then play them back. Your first call should be to Dell as they are required to help you when the PC is still under warranty.

Again, if you still have problems try the Main Windows Forum or Vista Forum.

Good Luck!
