This is my first post so be gentle with me

I have used Limewire/Pro for a few years with no problem. I was having download speed issues so i thought i would uninstal Limewire Pro and reinstal the latest free version to see if that worked. If it did then i was going to pay up for Pro again as i had let my support payments lapse.

I un-installed via add/remove programs (yes i now know that's not the right way!) and downloaded the latest version. It goes through the installation ok but when it comes to setup it won't ping my firewall to allow me to complete the installation process.

i have used the search to remove all traces of limewire....i have checked/unchecked boxes in my firewall program (the windows one). I have tried almost every concievable way i can think of to no avail.

I would love to get it up and running again and go for the pro version, but i'm not paying money until the free version is running.

any idea's?
