Help Help Can't Download

HELP i cant download anything, limewire starts up ok and searches ok but when i try to download anything it doesn't work, my firewall is set on exception of limewire, i tried uninstalling limewire and reinstalling it. it driving me up the bloody wall, please help before i put my computer in hospital!!
