Installed 4.10.12 ,tried both links,updated java, firewall permissions seem ok. Limewire Title window opens.closes in 5 sec. no bar showing activity at bottom of title window.???? Have had prev. version and it worked fine. HP laptop 40G 1Gram Wireless home network D-link 624.cable modem Surfboard.

When upgrading to Pro, it's often best to delete the previous preferences folder. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

BTW are you sure about the version. LW is up to 4.12.x, not 4.10.x

Thank you. I used windows explorer & search to delete LW pieces, uninstalled java and limewire, went to java site you suggested and saved download, installed java, reinstalled LW. Stared and loaded fine. Went thru setup like it was suppose to. Excellent!!!! My old java was a 6 and it seems that was due to a java update that i said yes to 3months ago. This may have been the start of my problems because prev. vers. of LW quit working also. Thanks Again.
