After installing limewire on my computer I got this error:
The instruction at "0x5a002f32" referenced memory at "0x00b466a0". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program THEN The instruction at "0x5a00170a" referenced memory at "0x5a01f19c". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program I've tried this with a previous version of limewire i saved ages ago but it gives the same message ![]() I DID re-install windows XP (after a VEEERY nasty virus found its way into my computer ) but I dont think this might be the problemThanks guys! |

I am not a windows user per se. But do you have any utilities to check out if your ram is working ok? One of your ram chips might be malfunctioning, else always had a problem, else have a loose connection.

No I'm pretty sure my RAM's OK, I ran a medion system diagnostic and it was all green for the hardware. I'm not sure whether it helped but I uninstalled Divx (looking at the similar forums)

Update your drivers for graphic cards also. Memory problems like that sound like driver problems ... possibly clashes. Limewire and Blue Screen of Death (click on link). In these cases LW is not at fault but simply acts as the trigger. But the trigger could potentially be any program; particularly java programs.
