Totally Confused (LW won't start)

Hello, I'm JLS. I'm running Windows XP with 2 gigs of ram, I have a cable connection, I ran the test on the suggestion page and it worked. I downloaded LW about a month ago and all was fine. I updated the Java and all was fine. today I could not start LW. I searched the forum first. Ran my AVG and two spy sweepers. Uninstalled LW and the Java. Reinstalled them. LW worked. I shutdown the PC. Hours later I get the same message from this morning; "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." Any help would be appreciated.

Try these fixes and see if they help...
Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s...

Thanx. I've tried all that was posted and still, LW only opens when I choose to reinstall it from scratch. If i choose not to run LW when I install it; I get the contact admin message.

Just make sure you are your computers administator...

And then try this...

Right-click on the Limewire icon on the desktop and click on Run as. Then it should come up showing the current user and then switch it over to Administrator. (but 'only' if you're the admin of your comp.!)
