hello... í tried to install limewire, but after i run the backup installer, i always recive this message:

limewire has encountred a fatal internal error and will now exit. This generally caused by a corrupted installation. please try dowloading and install limewire again.

Why run a backup installer if the program is already installed. Re-install LW using the "Offline" installer, not the one they say is the prefered one. It's much safer. Also try deleting your LW prefs folder whilst the program is CLOSED; see http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html about where to find it.

Try this...

Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version....
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...

Use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name. If you can't delete them, reboot into safe mode & then try. If they still won't delete, try one of the tools here...
Incomplete Download File won't delete at all.

Then re-install limewire...
