Unhappy installation problem

When I tried to run exe program from downloads (downloaded ok), message comes up saying I'm already running the program, when I am not. Therefore, will not proceed with second installation process, forcing me to abort installation.

Are you refering to installing LW or a program you downloaded with LW?

Go to Start menu > Programs > LW > Uninstall. Uninstall LW is already installed. Then get this version: Download ‘Other’ version & simply unzip & use!

* However, make sure Java is installed BEFORE attempting to run LW. Go to Add/Remove Control panel & remove any old Java versions then download from here Download Java software from Sun Microsystems & install the OFFLINE installer version of Java. You may need to reboot after re-installing Java. Then proceed with LW.

BTW never use the Add/Remove programs control panel to uninstall LW. It will cause problems if you do.

(sorry for late response)

Hi. I'm late replying myself. Anyway, I couldn't uninstall from program, file was corrupted. In fact, a lot of files were corrupted. Anyway, I reinstalled the whole thing, replacing the program with the new installation (for the 3rd time), and all of a sudden, it worked. Who knows? Now it seems to be working fine. Thank you for your note. Melanie
