Default Effin Ting (LW won't open)

Guys , I download Limewire it goes through ok , it goes on my Desktop , It goes on my Add & Remove Progs , It actually says new progs installed , but when i double click to open the little egg timer starts then it wont open up?? Anyone any idea why this is happening.

It Might be a Java issue.

First of all, install Java. Download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions installed (via Add/Remove Programs) before you install the latest Java.
Java SE Downloads

After Java's installed, install LW. When you click to download the LW installer, cancel the dialog box which pops up...now use the option to download the offline installer.

Thanks , For helping me out wil give it a try tonight and let you know how I got on , But why do i have to uninstall all the other Java on my pc , i am worried if i do that and then Limewire still doesnt work the all the other things that were running on Java will not be able to work as i have uninstalled them , can i not try it with just the way you said but without uninstalling everything?

Also on that download page there are lots of Java to Download which one do i choose?

Remoc , Thanks for all your help itwas much Appreciated , I never Uninstalled all the Java I had on my PC , I just installed the one you said and then it worked ok , so thanks again for all your help.
