Question Can't set the Save and Share directories

During the installation of LW 2.1.3, I set the Save and Share directories to a single directory on my D:\ drive. I want the directory that I save my downloads to to be the same directory I share with other users.

I downloaded a couple of songs, confirmed they were saved to the desired directory on the D:\ drive, then terminated my session.

Today, I started a new session and downloaded a couple of songs. This is when I noticed the songs were not saved to my D:\ drive. Instead, they were saved to the default directory - C:\Programs\Limewire\Shared

Using the Tools/Options buttons, I changed the Save and Share directories to the D:\ drive directories I initially used when installing LW.

After numerous attempts to save these settings, I've determined that each time I terminate and start a new session, the previous settings are discarded, and replaced by the default directory.

Yes, I have clicked on the Apply and OK buttons after making the directory changes.

When using LW 1.6, I didn't have this problem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mike

Try editing your limewire.props file manually. Not very graceful but it does work.

Default There is a way to do it from the GUI

This will sound retarded but it does work. It seems though that they want people to browse to the directory up from the one you want to share, then highlight the one you want to share, finally hit the select button.

Not the way we're all used to, but it does work.
