i have used limewire for years and had no problems until my connection started failing on me recently.
tried to sort this out by unistalling/reinstalling etc but now i have the problem that it installs perfectly well but the setup does not work... I press next on the save folder and sharing folder window and the next window flicks up for half a second and closes again. I have tried all the fixes on this forum I can find (java, offline, backup installer etc) to no avail ![]() Can anyone help me please because I've been trying to find out what's up with it for ages now and decided to register here and see if anyone knows?! Thanks if you can help...

Hey Alexi, I don't know if you still need help, but just in case you do, to solve your problem, after installing LimeWire, you need to right-click on the LimeWire icon and click on Properties. Uncheck the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for.." and hit OK. It should work after that.
