not working (after installation)

Hi, i downloaded basic limewire and went through the installation process and included limewire in my firewall. I disconnected and the icon remains on my system tray and there is a shortcut for limewire on my desktop. when I double click the desktop icon, i get an error message..."windows cannot access specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." how do I fix this error message? i thought by unstalling and deleting limewire from my pc and then reinstalling would work but it hasn't. before, i would find the exe and it would go through the whole installation again. i suppose i could just use the icon from the systems tray but that doesn't always seem to stay either. Any help is greatly appreciated.
