Obviously You have done Absolutly NO Research or know Very Little about P2P and the Gnutella Network.

So I ask, What the ???? are You thinking about ??? Might be a Good Idea to take a few steps back and get Informed.

Be careful with what you download - check file sizes & file extensions. See the threads below for more info.
Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see).
* WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of ! *

Make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & use it to scan all files that you download - before you open them. Which AV are you using? If it's not able to deal well with the viruses that you're finding, the second link above has more links to online scans. Or the post below has links to some good freeware.

If you are getting porn results, you may wish to add certain words to the keyword filter: Direct instructions to eliminate porn from results

Hope this Helps. :)

Ok I'll admit I'm not a teckie all I wanted was a reliable program that I could use to download music to my zune with out it costing me an arm and a leg. Everything that you talked about in your reply makes no sence to me what is an AV??? File extensions are all greek to me. Maybe I picked the wrong program again!!:shoot:

AV = anti virus program :) There are decent free ones around. Remoc will suggest a good one. ;)

There are organisations who have been sponsored by companies such as the RIAA (Recording Industry of America) who spam the network with rubbish to stop people sharing files. You need to learn to recognise these spam files. Check their file sizes. After a while you will get to recognise them off by heart. Initially it may seem a little daunting to remember them all. But basically ignore any file less than 2,000 KB or 2 MB. There are also a few larger ones to beware of too which is why sample images have been included in the link Remoc gave you. :)

To get rid of porn spam you can filter it out of your search results automatically using a keyword filter. You initially need to add each word one by one to the filter. Instructions in the link Remoc gave you (both links within that page). :)
