hello ... cannot download LW installer !

hey. Hippocrates here. just signed up. trying to download limewire, but I keep failing. guess I'll just poke around in the support forums.

no go. I hit save and nothing happens. it doesnt show up in my downloads and I cant find it in my download archive.

Does the download file even begin to download? Have you tried a different browser such as firefox? Sounds like you are using internet explorer or something. If M$ didn't force it onto everybody I would not recommend it as a general browser.

Else, try clearing cookies, cache, etc. Sometimes that can muck up things like this.

i am using Firefox. and no, nothing even begins to happen. I'll try clearing my cookies and such, and if that doesn't work I'll try pausing my security software and then trying to start the download.

Must be the exe extension. I forgot to zip it. Can you download 'anything' from the internet?

I have my kapersky software set to block suspicious software.

It must be set to block exe files. That's one reason I intended to zip it .. doh. Go to LW's download page Get LimeWire for Your Platform - Lime Wire & download the 'Other Systems' version. Unzip it, place it into programs folder. Open LW folder, open LW program. Example Download ‘Other’ version & simply unzip & use!
