![]() I had a version of Limewire basic free it worked perfectly until yesterday when I chose to download and install the updated free version 5.5.8. During installation, Spybot detected a Win32 problem and wouldn't proceed. By the 3rd try, Spybot no longer detected a problem but it didn't matter because instead I got this message up in it's place: This installation is corrupted. Please download and install Limewire again I've tried about 30 times. All give the same error message of a corrupted file. I'd like my old copy of Limewire back, it worked perfectly. Unfortunately I don't know what the version was as the updated version deleted it. ![]() I've cleared my browser cache so many times, as advsed on the FAQ. There's no other problem other than for some reason it registers as corrupted. Please help I'm not computer literate but can find my way around with help. Oh and through browsing the forums there was some mention of using windows search - mine won't start. OK as per the forum instructions this is the information about my laptop, connections and everything else I could find; 1/ Limewire 5.5.8 - attempting to achieve last known version build number unknown and it was deleted by the attempt to update this new 1 (in the network share folder has 2 limewire versions - 5.2.13.0 and 5.3.6.0) 2 - 15 removed no longer needed Last edited by Saffy; April 28th, 2010 at 06:40 AM. |
