The ability to automaticaly search again for a file is one feature who make the difference with others gnutella clients.

But this feature seem not perfect yet. Everyone have in the download file list, a lot of file accumulating.

I sugest theses 3 thing :



Idea 1 : If the file remain with 0% in the download list for more than 5 days : After the automatic search is done the agent in charge to scan for the result of this auto-search have to accept to download the file(s) found if a little difference in size and/or in name is found.

Idea 2 : If the file remain with 0% in the download list for more than 10 days : Remove it !



Idea 3 : Add a special mode (Search Mode). This mode will increase a lot the number of hosts responding to searchs for 5 minutes, then the mode will be turned off automaticaly. This feature is needed for some files very difficult to find.


Theses features will ensure that Xolox will still be the best gnutella software.
