I paid for the Pro version about 4 months ago and it seems that the site doesn't recognize that. I know I paid because the money came out of my account. So what do I have to do to get my subscription recognized?

How much did you pay for pro and are your sure it was only 4 months ago. Pro is $18.88 for pro and 6 months of free upgrades. There are allot of scam sites that sell people LimeWire. If you did get it from the official site the you can mformel A PM and she may be able to help you.

About how long does it take for mformel to get back with me? I just want to get this over with as soon as posible.

I don't know but it will be at least after the weekend. And if you did get it from the official site you should have a copy of your CC statment saying that you got it from LimeWire.

So you're saying that if I am unable to provide a statement showing that charge, I'm probably going to be out of luck? I ask this because I'm in the military and I have just arrived at my new duty station here in Florida. So as you know everything is more than likely going to be packed up somewhere. I didn't keep it with me because I didn't anticipate this happening. I figured your site was a little more reliable than that.

When you purchased pro you should have received a e-mail with a link to your personal download page. Hopefully you saved that page it tells you to save it to your favorites when you receive it. If you did not receive this page you were scammed. When the download page is sent it creates a log of the date and is stored on a server. If it goes past 6 months the log of your e-mail addy is deleted. I am guessing you did not save the installer to your hard drive or burn a backup copy. On rare occasions the server may be having a problem but if you purchased it less than 6 month's ago and from the official site they will be able to look you up manually. But if you are not in there and you don't have the receipt how can you prove you bought it. There are literally 100's of scam sites out there selling LimeWire and 1000's of people are scammed daily we see it all of the time on the forum. So unfortunately if you are not in the data base and don't have any record of the transaction then you may be out of luck. Can you return something or get a replacement of something you bought at a store without a receipt. But I would give it a shot anyway.

I do have the installer on my hard drive for the 4.8.1 version. I purchased it on 18 Oct. 2005. So it was five months ago instead of four. But how can I tell if this version is the basic version or the purchased one? I know that I was under the impression that I bought the lifetime subscription. I even told friends about the price of the lifetime version and how much of a good deal it was. But if I ultimately have to repurchase the subscription, can you tell me if this is a lifetime subscription? And after the 6 months of free upgrades, what happens if you want to update after that? Will I have to pay another $20? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Ouch you were scammed 4.8.1 came out in March of 2005 and hasn't been available at the official site since June of 2005. If it is pro it Will say so. No LimeWire does not have a lifetime subscription. And yes you will have to pay for pro again after 6 months if you want to upgrade. But if you pay for it within 2 weeks of the expire date it is $14.95 instead of $18. If you decide to get Pro only get it from the link below. You can also get basic there which is fee and is probably what you have been using.
