I am like too old for this and should have a computer tech living in my house for the amount of times I find myself helping others with computers.. anyone interested, my number is ... 0406 nut job.. lol kidding.. .. I am trying to help my daughter in law set up limewire on her acer laptop that her mum sold her.
I have limewire. Then I had to download java. Which I did. Now Java won't load and an error message comes up saying "this is not a valid windows application" or some such message. I can't run limewire without java and the java wont load. She has Vista running. Is there anything else I need to tell you before I go fix the TV Antenna?? |

First thing to try is right-click LW & choose run as Admin. See if it opens. If not then reinstall all from scratch using this technique: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html
![]() (For Vista, both the installer & then the installed LW program should be set to run as Admin) ![]() If still problems, check the topics here which might be the issue: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ta-issues.html
