These volunteers keep the board organized and moving. Moderators are authorized to: (in order of increasing severity) Move posts to the correct forums. Many times, members post in the wrong forum. These off-topic posts may impede the normal operation of the forum. Edit posts. Moderators will edit posts that are offensive or break any of the House Rules. Delete posts. Posts that cannot be edited to comply with the House Rules will be deleted. Restrict members. This is one of the last punishments before a member is banned. Restrictions may include placing all new posts in a moderation queue or temporarily banning the offender. Ban members. The most severe punishment. Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other threads and see where your post will go. If your post is placed in the wrong forum it will be moved by a moderator. 7. If you see a post in the wrong forum or in violation of the House Rules, please contact a moderator via Private Message or the "Report this post to a moderator" link at the bottom of every post. Please do not respond directly to the member - a moderator will do what is required. 8. Any impersonation of a forum member in any mode of communication is strictly prohibited and will result in banning. 9. Multiple copies of the same post will not be tolerated. Post your question, comment, or complaint only once. There is no need to express yourself more than once. Duplicate posts will be deleted with little or no warning. 10. Posts should have descriptive subjects. Vague titles such as "Help!", "Why?", and the like may not get enough attention to the contents. 11. Do not divulge anyone's personal information in the forum, not even your own. This includes e-mail addresses, IP addresses, age, house address, and any other distinguishing information. Don´t use eMail addresses in your nick. 12. Signatures may be used as long as they are not offensive or sexually explicit. 13. Failure to show that you have read the forum rules may result in forum rules breach infraction points or warnings awarded against you which may later total up to an automatic temporary or permanent ban. Supplying system details is a prerequisite in most cases, particularly with connection or installation issues. But hey, I've only had my shared files hashed for about 10 minutes  Wonder why they didn't call it Shareazad? Guess they didn't want the word ad in their name!

| Weirdness....... I still have not uploaded anything, which is definitely not normal. I usually average 10-20 uploaded files per hour...... Must be something that I have not yet properly configured  But, downloading like crazy! Amazing, really! Anyone else out there with any experience using Shareaza? I have a feeling that this one could quickly become popular.

Let's see your evidence which you have personally collected and which you use to justify your comments here. Anyway, it sure is an interesting client..... still learning how to drive it! Was there no pre-warning or notice that this was coming? There are many things to like about it..... must be something wrong somewhere, hmmmmmm? Also note that there seems to be, in the hours I have been able to observe, a very much more general spread of connects to different clients..... no clustering or grouping! Nice.

Power corrupts. I can't call you any names like you call me because you have the delete button, must be nice. Also, where do we draw the line? What is too negative? Will you delete any post that has a strong opinion that isn't along the lines with yours? Name calling, and personal attacks like the one you just made against me should not be tolerated. Strong opinions? That's just life. This thread is now logged, even if you edit it, there is a original. By the way, a IP address only has FOUR numbers in it. |

I know what I am talking about, just because I am not "registered" doesn't mean I don't know what I am talking about. I don't think registering and adding a "title" to a made up screen name makes me any more experienced. My experience and knowledge may cause some arrogance. And my frustration with all this probably causes some negativity to come out since no one seems to care about anything but how many search results come back to guage a client's abilities. Also, I know I am not "anon" to the moderators, it says "logged" to the right of each message. I am not blind. However, having a strong opinion, a negative one, or even one that a moderator doesn't like is not a violation of the forum rules is it? And now moderators are "tracking" users? What's that about? |
