I am trying to download and run limewire on Win 95 (I know, ancient, but it's the only option I have at the moment). It says on the download page that LW is compatible with Win 95, and I had no trouble downloading and installing it, however the version of java that is supported by win95 is not enough to run LW.

Have I missed something or am I fighting a losing battle?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and even suggestions of similar programs to LW that are free to download and will run on Win95 are very welcome
