If your running McAfee, the fix for most is to uninstall McAfee and run another program.
Avast is a good one. Some people have been able to get it to work without uninstalling McAfee.

Also d/load and install Java 6, the one called (
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1) using the offline installer
