Make sure that you're going to the official site to download LW.

Click on the big blue 'get basic' button on the right of the screen. Basic's free.
Once you've downloaded & installed LW, read through the
LimeWire FAQ and User Guide and check out the sticky threads in different forum sections for other info.
LW won't burn CDs, it's a file sharing app. You can burn CDs of songs that you've downloaded, but you'll still need burning software. The threads below have info about burning to CD.
