It may be a software clash.
Do you have the utility Alcohol on your system? I believe this can cause problems.
Did you remove all java versions before re-installing the latest?
As far as compatibility mode goes, are there any others available you can try?
Not that it should make any difference, you could perhaps uninstall LW using the Start menu > Programs > LW > Uninstall, then use this version Download ‘Other’ version & simply unzip & use!. |
1) I tried using it on a different user account. Still doesn't work.
2) Yes, I do have Alcohol 120%. That might be it? Not sure.
3) Prior to my download of Limewire, I never had a version of Java software on my new operating system of Vista. So this shouldn't have been a problem.
4) I tried all the compatibility modes. None of them help.
5) I'll try using the "other" version. Hm.. I'll get back to you on that one.
