Apparently in gaming mode Webroot disables certain shields etc. that can interfere with games on some computers. It also requires you to enter a time to turn it off or it will automatically turn it on in 4 hours. The great thing is I only had to use it to install. I don't have to turn it on every time I use it. Hopefully this experience will be useful for anyone else who has this particular virus program. |
Excellent! Thank you for letting us know. That's a new fix. lol

No program no matter how much or how little you pay for it should be this convoluted and difficult to install!!! |
lol

Each person's system is a little different. Some people can have a network of identical computers with identical software yet one will be trouble-some for some odd reason. I guess Java is the issue usually. Not uncommon for problems due to installing Java using the online installer version ... same can apply for LW also. Also sometimes unclean registry can hamper installations .. with elements of old versions or old programs that interfere with others for some reason. Or some other reason blocking the online installation.
But glad it's all sorted ... and thank you for letting us know how you fixed it.
