all i was trying to say is that the recording industry is a manopoly . and now with the advent of fileshare there trying to scare you into buying over priced stuff. if they would change there ways and quit ripping people off and sell movies and music at a resonabul price ,like single songs for 50cents each on mini cd or flash memory or something and movies for like 5 bucks each on a formatt that wasent designed to fail (DVDs)in an attempt to make you re-buy the same movie 25000 times. if that where the case id run out and BUY every song and every movie i ever wanted. until that happens 1000000s of people are going to continue to "rip back" allso im terribley sorry if iv offended anyone or jeperdized the forums by trying to prove a point.

well it looks like I'm not the only one missing the 45's from the '50s - '70s. I don't think they were 50 cents even back then, but yeah, it would be nice to buy songs that cheap again!

@cathodraytube no problem with that. I understand your reasons to the fullest, and if you let yourself get carried away: That can happen sometimes.

No gripes, anyhow. :)

Besides: What you buy gives them money to go against you, so the best way is to buy only from bands and labels, which don't support going against filesharing (though they are few) and getting your friends to do the same. And not to forget: telling them (and if you have a homepage: everyone who visits it) that you don't buy from anyone who attacks filesharing.

It is about legalizing all filesharing with a simple flat-tax on any form of getting music and movies online and got quite some momentum in germany during the last year.
