I use version 7 of Kaspersky security .. comes as a part of Parallels. Have you checked the options of scanning frequency & exclusions. Bearstart is one of the things that drives it crazy with the time change because it upsets the antivirus subscription for Kaspersky.

Elsewhere one may find contradictions to this statement.
Some resident fools here suggest that there are never any serious problems running Bearstart.

My experience is that 'Bearstart' is big bad garbage for most BIOS and OS installs.

'Upsetting subscriptions' is no small matter.
