| Again false. You can give permissions without starting the program. Zonealarm is a very user friendly firewall, in other firewalls you have to open the ports.
As I said there is no need that Java is running and Java needs no permission to connect.
I guess you installed SP2 and had a poor or no connection, you changed a few settings and now it works - it was luck.
