The frequency of such incidents is inconsistent according to your description. Like I said earlier, the only thing that I could think of that would interrupt a download besides a disconnect (of the downloader) is a dynamic IP address, which you have already stated you don't have. I can offer no further help on this. Sorry!

Anyone with any ideas or solutions?

I have the same exact problem with @home cable but i have a surfboard cable modem, so it might be @home interrupting the download, any suggestions cause its bugging me too.

Anybody tried a different network card (or modem card if you've got that)? One of my computer was being stubborn, similar to these complaints, althought with mine about the time it would pick up speed, get going good (heavier load) it seem to kick me out, then restart over. Less of a load, less of a problem! Put a network card in, my problems quit. or accually quit quitting!
