Hi, I have been using Limewire for a few years now, and all of the sudden it won't open. I have uninstalled it, and then downloaded another version of it. When I click on it, nothing happens, there is the hourglass for about 2 seconds then nothing. Anybody here know what the problem could be? It's not my firewall. The only thing I have done is go from Earthlink to Netzero in the last week.

Try Fixes for Limewire or/& updating to LW 4.4

I am downloading the Java update, but since I am on dial up it will be about an hour for the 15MB download. Currently I am using Java 1.3.1_04 and LW 4.4.1. This is strange. I deleted the .limwire folder already, but that didn't help.
Anyway, thanks, and I will check back later.

I find that strange that LW 4.4.1 allowed the installation without updating your Java. This version enforces the later version of Java to be installed. Either way, Java 1.3 is insufficient for LW 4.4

It seems I already had that version installed, you are right. So that was a waste of time. It still won't open.

Hi, I think it may be Netzero. I just switched too and am having the same thing. I tried EVERYTHING I have been told, but nothing.

I already canceled my Earthlink subscription... I will start contacting Tech Support for Net Zero. Thankyou for replying.
