Only A Hobo is a great assister to others; your light through the dark tunnel
Default

A little punctuation goes a long way lol

In the search window of Limewire you can see an icon column "?" . There is also a column for type. If you can't see it right click on the column header bar and tick "type" . This is more useful than the icon colum and will show which file type you are looking at.

You may need to open a file, once downloaded, by right clicking and selecting your player of choice, and then selecting this as your default player.

I hope this helps as I was not totaly clear what you meant in your question

Default

I'm guessing they're refering to default program. Anybody's guess, but this is mine. lol See either or both (a) Setting Default video app, or /& (b) Setting default audio program

Then the audio file icons will change to that of your default program, & possibly your video files also. But if you launch a video or audio file then your default program will open to play it anyway.
