Limewire Not Connecting

It seems as if a lot of people are having the same problem I am having so if this question I have has already been answered please show me the proper thread to be reading.

I have the newest version of Limewire, Windows XP Firewall that has Limewire as an exception, the DSL router is a Dlink 524 and the UPnP is enabled. It was working the last time I tried using it...which was about 3 weeks ago. We recently moved but our DSL provider is still the same and the settings on our router haven't been altered in anyway. So in a perfect world we should have just been able to connect like we have been doing previously but that isn't the case.

I've read all the help suggestions listed here and haven't had any luck. Any help someone could offer would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

You mean that UPnP is enabled on your DLink?

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)
You may want to make a note of important settings b/c once you re-open LW you'll need to reset them. ;)

The UPnP is enabled on my DLink yes.

I tried deleting the LW Preferences folder while LW was closed and I'm still not getting connected.

Anything else I could possibly try?

Try downlding a magnet link from here & see what happens http://www.magnetmix.com/video.shtml

Are you seeing a brick wall in front of the blue globe icon at the bottom of LW?

I tried to download a file and it came back saying it needed more sources. The connection never moved off of the first bar though if that makes any difference.

And yes I am seeing a brick wall in front of the blue globe icon. The only firewall I have is Windows XP and it is allowing Limewire full access.

Anything else I could try?

**Edited to add** I downloaded the alternative, Frostwire, and I'm having the exact same problems with it as well. No connection even after the firewall I have was granted access. Acts the same exact way as Limewire.

you should always start your own post instead of jumping onto somebody elses even though they have the same problem --- can you please explain fully what your problem is and what you have done (if anything) to fix it. Also In Limewire Links (below) click on (system details) fill in and post back here
