![]() Thanks Birdy. I actually did go in and try to configure my XP firewall and everything looked good there, but when I tried to enable UPnP, that's where I got lost. I followed the instructions and did everything that I was supposed to do, but I never got the "finish" button. So, after I made all of the changes, I hit "ok" , but my computer never brought up the "Residential Gateway Icon" in My Network Places like the instructions said it would. Mind you, I'm not very computer savvy, so that's obviously a problem as well, so I apologize ahead of time if I say something that makes you say "uh, hello!!" Lol! I really appreciate your patience with me. I thought I followed everything exactly as I was supposed to. Maybe this is where the problem lies. WinXP Limewire: 4.12.3 Java: 1.5.0_07 Modem/router: I honestly don't know what this is? (This is where you get to say say, uh, hello!!) ISP? Connection: Cable from home I am not sharing a connection with anyone I've actually used LW for quite a while before experiencing this problem |

![]() Ok, hopefullt this is what you're looking for: My router says it's a Haltron Tech model # BRG-35202 My ISP is an off the wall company called TV Max. I don't beleive I have another Firewall because when I go into my control panel, all I see is a "Windows firewall" and if there is another firewall running, I have no idea where to find that info. Under my firewall options, it's set up to allow LW to get through, so I don't understand why all of the sudden it's not working. |

![]() I'd suggest that you ask your ISP about this. I can find a Hitron (not Haltron) BRM 35202 & BRG3520... but neither of those is the model you've said you have. I can't find any info at all to tell me whether either of those devices has an internal firewall or supports UPnP... sorry. Hopefully your ISP can tell you why your device is causing LW to show a firewall & help you to configure it ![]() |

![]() Well that's just weird because the only 35202 I could find is a BRM... not a BRG ![]() Like I said before, there just isn't much info about those at all & certainly not enough to give you any instructions for port forwarding. Did a manual come with the thing?? Is there a switch anywhere for UPnP? If you can find a UPnP switch then turn it on & choose 'use UPnP' within LW's options > advanced > firewall config, then apply. Did you get the router from your ISP? If they sold it to you then they should be able to help you out with any problems. I'm really sorry but I can't tell you much more! Hope you can sort it out ![]() |
