i dont see how thats meant to help when my kazaa-lite required neither but still worked until recently!

kaaza was already removed.
i dont have an offline installer for java as it was bundled with the main prog.
besides i dont see how a re-installation will change things.

still, i'm so dam desperate here i'll have to try your advice anyway!!!
